SDFS is interested in providing the training program "Scenario Development and Future Exploration" as future studies have become a technology and a method followed by the world for thoughtful forecasting of the future. Building scenarios is one of the methods of future studies, which relies on a large system of organized and programmed data that is updated according to variables. It is a description of the future state, and using future exploration tools and training on them contributes to developing a more responsive strategy to critical situations.
The program will cover the following topics:
1. Different definitions of future exploration and its importance, history, and important methods used.
2. Introduction to the future scenario, how to determine goals and outputs, choose the appropriate method, and the time frame for exploration.
3. Determining goals and outputs, choosing the appropriate method and time frame for exploration.
4. Current situation studies and using Steep-Pestel tools.
5. Stages of scenario building and their types.
6. Building and writing a disaster scenario (Wild Card).
7. Checking the quality of scenarios.
8. The decision-making process; principles of effective decision-making, including how to evaluate different factors and how to make choices in uncertain environments.
9. Risk and uncertainty management skills, including how to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed.
At the end of the program, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the importance of predicting future trends and developments in order to make effective decisions.
2. How to use scenario planning and other forecasting techniques to prepare for future challenges and opportunities, and develop strategies for managing risk and uncertainty and ways of building scenarios.
3. Practical skills in areas such as data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making, which they can apply in their professional work.
4. Develop a clear and thoughtful vision of alternatives and solutions for decision-makers, and present them effectively using a range of communication skills.
